What you'd want to know
20,000 sq ft climbing centre inside a 1930s Art Deco cinema on Acton High Street — cream-rendered façade with rounded Moderne corners, original signage band and tall portrait windows. Inside, the converted auditorium is opened up into terraced levels overlooking a high open ground floor, with bouldering walls, lead and top-rope routes climbing toward the original ceiling. Plywood climbing boards in slab, vertical and overhang, with brightly coloured holds in red, blue, yellow and lime. Two dedicated children's bouldering areas off to the side. A small café counter and timber tables at the front; gym and training corner along one wall. Industrial pendant lights hung from the original cinema rigging; mid-grey crash matting throughout.

- it's a converted art deco cinema so the room is tall and odd-shaped — expect the bouldering walls to climb up where the screen used to be.
- the terraced upper level is where the regulars hang out and watch routes. you can sit and learn beta off them before you try a problem.
- 170 problems is a lot — the first session, just walk the floor and pick the colours that look fun rather than trying to send a grade.
- there are two dedicated kids' areas, so weekend mornings have a different feel. midweek evenings is the adult-after-work crowd.
- the café at the front is small but the coffee is decent. most people grab one before climbing rather than after.
