What you'd want to know
Advent Running's flagship Thursday #BeigelRun starts and ends at Beigel Bake on Brick Lane — the 24-hour Jewish bakery with its iconic yellow shopfront, painted timber signage and queue of people on the pavement at any hour. Runners gather on the pavement out front at 6:45am, then head out for a 10km route around east London and back. The bakery itself is the post-run venue — hot beigels, salt beef, smoked salmon, all under £5. The pre-run circle happens on the cobbles in front of the bakery; the post-run reward is bought from the same counter the regulars have been visiting for years. Tuesday track at Mile End Stadium, Friday tempo runs, Sunday long runs round out the schedule. The bakery is the centre of gravity.
