Started by Mark Gainey + Michael Horvath, 2009. Tried to recreate the feeling of being on a Harvard rowing team.
Our take
Not a third place — a layer on top of one. Its value is discovery: it surfaces the in-person run clubs and group rides that actually generate the regulars.
Use it to find the crew, then let the bonding happen offline. The app tracks the miles; the friendships are made at the start line and the café after.
