What you'd want to know
Climbing centre across two industrial units on Neptune Trading Estate, Harrow — a short walk from Harrow-on-the-Hill station. Single-storey concrete-frame industrial sheds with corrugated metal cladding outside. Inside, a wide variety of wall angles — plywood slab, vertical, overhang and a roof feature — with bright resin holds in red, blue, yellow and lime. Rubber-crumb training and warm-up zones along one side, a campus board and fingerboards at the back. Mid-grey crash matting throughout the climbing floor. A mezzanine balcony café sits above the climbing hall with timber tables, plywood bar stools and a small art-gallery wall hung with rotating exhibitions. Recessed strip lighting throughout; exposed steel roof joists above.
Overheard
- the kids' crazy climb area is separate from the adult walls — weekend mornings are family-heavy but the bouldering and lead floor is peaceful.
- uk's biggest indoor caving system is in the building. it's not the bouldering and most regulars never use it — book separately if you want to try.
- the mezzanine has free weights, rings, trx and pull-up bars — you can train upstairs without paying for a gym membership.
- national performance centre tag pulls a junior squad regular base. you'll see kids climbing 7a on the comp wall — don't compare yourself.
- the small art-gallery wall above the café rotates exhibitions. it's a working studio feel, not a chain.
