What you'd want to know
25,000 sq ft climbing and fitness centre at Southside Shopping Centre on Garratt Lane, Wandsworth. A converted retail-and-warehouse volume — high ceilings, exposed steel trusses and concrete columns, glazed shopfront entry. Plywood bouldering walls in slab, vertical and overhang line one half of the hall; tall roped climbing walls with auto-belays and lead routes climb the other side, reaching to the ceiling. Holds in coral, ochre, sage and indigo. A signature Font paint-splatter feature wall sits as the visual anchor. A large functional fitness floor with free weights, cardio machines and a calisthenics rig along one wall. A café and bar runs the front — espresso counter, craft beer taps, gourmet burger kitchen, plywood bar stools and timber tables. Industrial pendant lights overhead.
