Climbing centre on Hook Rise South in Surbiton, occupying a single-storey commercial unit in a low-rise warehouse parade. Pale brick and metal-clad exterior with a glazed entry. Inside, a tall double-height climbing volume with painted off-white walls and exposed steel roof trusses overhead. Plywood climbing walls in slab, vertical and overhang; tall lead and top-rope lines along one wall with auto-belays, bouldering panels along the other. Bright resin holds in red, blue, yellow and green. A separate kids' climbing zone with low panels and softer matting at one end. A small café with timber tables, plywood bar stools and an espresso counter sits at the entry. Mid-grey crash matting along the bouldering floor; concrete floor beneath the rope walls.

  • 100+ rope lines split half top-rope half lead, plus ten auto-belays — it's a south-west london rope hub, not just a bouldering venue.
  • the year-long bouldering league is how the regulars structure their training. one annual entry, monthly resets, leaderboard.
  • the ladies social runs on a roster. turn up alone, you'll leave knowing names — that's the design of the event.
  • weekday morning is the quiet window. weekend afternoons can fill up; pre-book your slot, the carpark also fills.
  • beginner to private coaching is a real pipeline here. start with a basics class, the same coaches do the 1-on-1 work.
