Independent bouldering and creative workspace on Blackhorse Lane in Walthamstow, spread over three levels. Ground floor holds the main climbing room and reception — plywood walls, angled boards in slab and wave-overhang, and a training floor lined with campus boards, beastmakers and a Moon Board. Holds in terracotta, mustard, sage and navy. First floor café and bar runs the length of the building with long timber tables, plywood bar stools and a Wild Grains bakery counter. A second-floor yoga studio with wide wooden floors, foam mats and tall windows. Concrete and steel structure left exposed throughout; warm pendant lighting hangs over the café; chalk dust drifts down through the open mezzanine.

  • the buddy up and queer climb socials are the way in if you don't know anyone — you don't have to climb at a grade, just turn up.
  • boulder buds are on the floor 7-9pm weeknights to help beginners. ask them — they're there for that.
  • three levels in one building: climbing ground, café and bakery first floor, yoga studio top. people use all three the same afternoon.
  • wide range of grades makes it the wall to learn on — not a wall that humbles you on round one.
  • go before 6pm weekdays or weekend mornings if you want the floor open. evening tuesday and thursday gets the after-work crowd.
