London · Metalwork · 13 curated
Metalwork is a craft of heat, force and patience: cutting, forming, joining and finishing metal at a bench or a forge. London's workshops teach it through evening courses and open sessions, where the shared tools and the noise make it a naturally social trade — you learn by watching the bay beside you and then taking your turn.

Working metal needs equipment few people own: a forge, a welder, a vice and a bench heavy enough to take a hammer. Shared workshops supply all of it, usually after a short induction, and the session becomes a standing appointment.
The 13 Spaces below all teach or lend real skill, from blacksmithing and welding to toolmaking and jewellery-scale work. The tools are shared, so the craft is learned beside other people.
