Printmaking is the press, the plate and the proof: etching, screen-printing, lithography and relief, all learned by making. London's studios run it as a weekly course or an open-access membership, and the shared press makes it one of the more collaborative crafts — you queue for the same machine, compare inky hands and pull a proof together.

Printmaking is a craft of stages — drawing the plate, preparing the screen, mixing the ink, running the press — and every stage is easier beside someone who has done it before. Studios teach it as a course that builds over weeks, then keep the door open for members who want to keep printing.
The 9 Spaces below all run courses or open access where a beginner works alongside regulars on the same equipment. You learn the press by watching someone load it, then pulling your own print beside them.
