Brixton Run Club (BRX) starts and ends at The Duke of Edinburgh pub on Ferndale Road, Brixton — a Grade II listed 1930s public house with a vast beer garden tucked behind. The run leaves from the pub forecourt; runners gather under the pub's iron-and-glass canopy and on the wide pavement out front. Tuesday evening 7pm 5km runs head out into Brixton's residential streets and back. Friday evening track sessions move to Tooting Athletics track. Sunday morning 10km runs head out from the pub too. The pub's vast beer garden — the largest in south London — is the literal post-run venue. Marquee, fairy lights, beer taps on one side, food trucks on the other. The post-run pint is the structure, not the side dish.
