First visit
Thursday evenings at Paddington Rec — a structured speed/track session (warm-up, drills, whistle-led intervals), so come with a baseline of fitness rather than as your first-ever run. Stay after to actually meet people.

TrackMafia meets Thursday evenings at Paddington Recreation Ground — a 1980s leisure-centre site with a 400m red-rubber athletics track inside an open-air complex on Randolph Avenue, Maida Vale. Floodlight pylons stand at the corners; the track is flanked by long jump pits, a small grandstand and a clubhouse.

The pre-run gathering happens on the infield grass next to lane one, where the coaches address the group and lead drills. The session runs 6:30pm to about 8:00pm; reps on the track in pace packs with music playing from a portable speaker.

The post-run hang happens on the grass and the clubhouse steps. Open sky overhead; the canal and trees of Paddington Rec rising beyond the fence.

Fast, loud and visually identifiable — the kit and the energy are the brand.

  • thursdays 6:30pm at paddington rec, rain or shine. arrive 6:15 if you want to chat before the warm-up.
  • you need a baseline of fitness — it's a track session, not a couch-to-5k. don't pick this for your first ever run.
  • bring a playlist and decent shoes. the music plays from a speaker but the regulars have their own in earbuds for the reps.
  • stay for the post-run social on the grass. it's where the crew turns into people you know by name.
  • born out of nike town's crew scene — fast, loud, creative. don't expect a quiet run; expect a session that feels like a club night.
